This informal certificate program is conducted at the College and is open to all interested practicing poultry farmers, regardless of academic background, who wish to strengthen their capacity in poultry farming. Delivered through a highly practical, hands-on approach, the course caters to farmers of all categories. Assessment is carried out by the National Assessment Body (UVTAB) under the informal program framework.
The Poultry Farming Course aims to equip trainees with technical skills, scientific knowledge, and business management strategies to run a successful, sustainable, and highly profitable poultry enterprise. Participants are prepared to become highly efficient and effective professional poultry farmers, with a conscious commitment to environmental safety and sustainability. The training emphasizes poultry farming as a climate-resilient, income-generating activity particularly suited to smallholder farmers, while also highlighting its socio-economic viability as a lucrative economic enterprise.
